CoverGen - Job Saver for Upwork is a browser extension that helps users save Upwork job postings to their CoverGen dashboard for AI-powered cover letter generation. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data.

Data Collection and Usage

What We Collect

1. Job Information from Upwork

When you click "Add Current Job", we extract:

  • Job title
  • Job description
  • Upwork job ID

2. Authentication Token

We store your CoverGen authentication token locally in your browser to authenticate API requests.

What We DON'T Collect

  • Personal browsing history
  • Passwords or login credentials (except the CoverGen auth token)
  • Data from websites other than Upwork.com and CoverGen.io
  • Any personal information beyond what's necessary for the service

How We Use Data

Job Data:Sent to your CoverGen dashboard for cover letter generation
Authentication Token:Used only to authenticate requests to CoverGen API

All data is transmitted securely over HTTPS

Data Storage

  • Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
  • No data is stored on external servers except your CoverGen account data
  • You can clear stored data anytime through the extension settings
